Terms & Conditions
These standard trading terms govern all maintenance, repair, and diagnostic bookings conducted by Camber & Vale. By handing over vehicle keys or confirming an appointment, you agree to these working arrangements.
Section · 01
Parties and Scope
These terms represent the agreement between Camber & Vale Workshop and the registered owner or authorised custodian of the vehicle. All work executed on our premises, including parts installation, mechanical diagnosis, and test-driving on public roads, falls strictly under these conditions.
Section · 02
Booking and Quotes
A quotation provided verbally or in written form constitutes an honest estimate based on visible conditions and known vehicle data. Quotes remain valid for fourteen calendar days from issuance. Should further dismantled investigation reveal hidden damage, cracked castings, or seized fittings, we will pause work and seek your verbal or written consent before continuing.
Section · 03
Performance of Work and Access to the Premises
Our technicians carry out all procedures using recognised trade tools and in accordance with manufacturer technical manuals. For strict insurance and workplace safety reasons, vehicle owners may not enter the active workshop floor, ramp bays, or pit areas without explicit accompaniment by the workshop manager.
Section · 04
Prices, Payment After Completion and Invoices
Settlement of all workshop charges is due upon completion of the works and prior to vehicle release. Accepted payment methods are strictly cash on completion or direct bank transfer against the presented invoice. Vehicles will be retained on our secure premises under an ordinary common-law lien until funds have cleared in full into our bank account.
Section · 05
Cancellation and Rescheduling
We require a minimum of twenty-four hours advance notice to reschedule or cancel a confirmed workshop appointment without penalty. Customers who repeatedly miss booked drop-off slots without prior communication may be required to pay an advance labour reservation fee for subsequent appointments.
Section · 06
Liability, Insurance and Complaints
Our business holds comprehensive motor trade road risk and public liability coverage. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to unsecured personal possessions left inside the vehicle cabin or boot. Any complaint concerning mechanical performance or parts must be lodged within fourteen days of handover, allowing our team the right to inspect and rectify the vehicle.
Section · 07
Governing Law
These terms and all subsequent agreements are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from our services or workshop operations shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
